Bistro Aqva
Our bistro is on the first floor of the hotel. Here, we serve both dinner and our breakfast buffet. Our menu often contains ingredients from Vänern and the area around Mariestad. The hotel staff are interested in what nature has to offer and we like to fish, hunt, pick berries and mushrooms. We also work closely with the Italian Tommasi family and can offer you fine wines such as Amarone, from their vineyard.

The kitchen is open for dinner Monday through Thursday, and you can also just pop in and have a beer in the bar. Coffee and something sweet is available throughout the day.

Breakfast
Our breakfast buffet is very popular. We serve a traditional breakfast with all the trimmings but also a selection of herring and warm dishes. If you have booked a golfing package, we offer sandwich packs to take onto the course.

Fridays (even weeks) - Afterwork
Every second Friday, we offer a tapas menu of seasonal dishes from the Vänern and Mariestad region.

Menu:
The evening may begin with a glass of red from the Tomassi family’s Italian vineyardand Hotell Aqva’s home-made potato crisps made from locally grown potatoes.
After that, a chantarell soup with stone oven-baked tomato bread and sea salt may follow.
A white wine from the Tomassi family’s vineyard may accompany the main course, which, depending on the season, could be made up by salmon, perch, ling or pike-perch and whitefish roe from Vänern, served with potatoes, berries or mushroom from the Torsö or Brommö island alongside a parsley tabula…yum!!
Coffee may be served with the Torsövargen (Torsö Wolf’s) cake from an ancient recipe...will you be able to guess the ingredients?
Blueberry crumble with local Kling’s ice-cream is another option for sweet-tooths!
